Some of us are proud about Cameroon like Petit Pays
Yesterday I attended Petit Pays' concert here in Buea and it was booming. The show was powered by his good/funny songs alongside the girls who dance and make boys wanna.... But the real thing that caught my attention about Petit Pays is that he is proud to be making it in Cameroon. I dont know how many people can say " if I stay in Cameroon without bush I will make it" or how many will come back from bush to establish here, they rather shy away from the risk, as such we have no entrepreneurs and no models for the young ones growing.
Petit Pays said: " in America there is Micheal Jackson, in France Johny Holiday, in Senegal Yosou Ndou and in Cameroon we have Petit Pays" and he later asked the audience if he was not making it in Cameroon and he continued with this song "ca ce passe ici... ici chez nous... ou la la la la la bas ...".
I think there should be more Cameroonians who will make it and live in Cameroon. We should start thinking of saying we are the Bill Gates of Cameroon or the Eric Smith of Cameroon or the Ford of Cameroon. We all go out there invest our brains in another man's land and forget about investing our talent in our motherland. Bush falling or no bush falling we should not let a south African company take over our whole country if you dont know this learn it today: MTN is the most succesfull company in Cameroon.
I would like that we address this issue so our younger ones will grow with good ideas of making 'Vert rouge jaune' better represented as Peace Work Fatherland. Because I must say Peace and Work and Fatherland have all been seperated, but we can fix it.

It's all about knowing
Hey mambenanje,
in every society, we have 'a few' who make it no matter the wars. Petit Pays is one who probably is making it in his sector but let's not forget his trajectory. This guy has been on the scene for centuries. He has a profile of one of the few trying to help the young camers come up to something. If we have many like him, a lot of guys who 'fall bush' would say with an English that 'Home is best'
I hail those who 'fall bush' with a purpose, thinking back home. A lot of folks don't have here what it takes to bring positive changes to this land. If falling bush can let them have what they need, then they have my blessings. What I decry is falling bush and not thinking back home.
I think life in the diaspora is horrible for some, especially those who manage somehow to fake their ways through withought a stable situation. I prefer fighting home to managing overthere.

Speechless, speechless...that's how it makes me feel...
Wow. This is a whole "Book" disguised as a post. Patriotism, hope, love, commitment...etc.
This community has forced me to give a greater meaning and importance to this bushfalling stuff. In effect, i have starting revising most of my beliefs. To me, the question is not about making it here or not. We all know of the lots who have made it here. Patriotism is the backbone of this problem. Many of us don't love Cameroon. Even those making it here want to fall bush. Some will even prefer to be poor in the US than rich in Cameroon. At least, they will still have the "jest" of bushfallers...How do we solve this problem of patriotism? How can you force a friend to love our country?
