Have you ever watched a movie named Pre-Crime? In that movie, there is a system that can predict a crime and make it possible for the police to arrest a “pre-convict” before he even commits the crime. If we were in the pre-crime world, I guess jail will be a new home for studera.nu

“Everybody” in Cameroon wants to fall bush and most use Education as the main way out. Cameroonians don’t miss any opportunity of hustling for admission into schools whose doors are “open” to the underdeveloped world.

Braintrack, the most popular college and university directory to Cameroonians has been “king of the web” until the mighty Studera came up. “Free education is the only motive of falling bush to Finland and Sweden”, says uncleche but I bet uncleche is wrong. Whatever the motive is, education seems to be the easiest route. The schools in Finland and Sweden do not only offer free education, but are also easy to gain admission into. Studera, the “UCAS” of the Scandinavian countries, is even promising to make things easier. With a single account on studera.nu, an applicant can apply for up to 8 courses in 1, 2, 3 or even 8 universities.

Well, this is great news. Why will uncleche want to see Studera in jail? The answer is simple. Uncleche works in a cyber café and has seen Studera applications being submitted at a rate of about 5 per day for a period of 2 months. This will give a total of about 5 x 60 = 300. Remember this is just 1 cyber café in Buea alone. In a rough guess, uncleche says at least 5,000 Cameroonians have applied through Studera. At least 5,000 Cameroonians mention Studera’s name in their prayers.

Everybody is waiting for the results with crossed fingers. How many schools are there in Finland and Sweden? How many foreign students do these schools need? Who will be taken, and who left behind?

Studera is about to commit a crime, break the hearts of at least 3,000 young Cameroonians.
